Texas’ senate is currently blocking Don McLeroy - endorsed by governor Rick Perry - from resuming his role as the Texas State Board of Education Chairman. Why, you ask?
Really, Texas, you want someone running your board of education who wants to teach what is so clearly wrong? Of course, maybe he’s just afraid of getting sued.
The United States really needs another sputnik.
Microsoft’s Visual Earth has been doing this for a while, but these new movies from C3 are quite pretty. Definite style points for all the matrix-camera action, too. Very impressive for a straight imagery-to-model conversion. What would be really cool would be to see their engine running in Unity3D or another web platform.
